What is the shared donation pool?

It is real money set aside for participating charities. At the end of each published funding period, the active pool is divided based on each charity’s share of confirmed Impact Points.

Your activity helps direct the money

When your eligible activity is confirmed, your Impact Points increase your preferred charity’s share. The more its community participates, the larger its potential share of the active pool can be. Points are not cash and do not have a fixed exchange rate.

How extension activity becomes pool-eligible points

With the extension enabled, users can earn visible Impact Points by visiting participating retailers, opening new tabs, and completing other published eligible actions. Only points that are confirmed, assigned to a charity, and eligible under the published rules for the funding period enter the pool calculation.

1. Raw points

These are the visible points earned for an eligible action. They support progress and rewards.

Example: 150 raw points

2. Weighted points

A multiplier reflects source quality and confirmation level. Better-confirmed activity can carry more allocation weight.

150 × 0.25 = 37.5 weighted points

3. Pool-eligible points

Only points that are confirmed, assigned to a charity, and created within the pool month enter the calculation.

Full example

Charity 1 has 20,000 confirmed weighted points. All charities together have 100,000. The monthly pool contains $1,000.

Where the money comes from

Brand-funded challenges and retailer participation

Brands fund the rewards and published charity milestones in their challenges. Eligible retailer participation confirms progress.

The Oui Impact fund

Oui Impact contributes a published minimum plus a share of eligible revenue generated through the extension. The available total is allocated using confirmed monthly activity.
